The practice or orthopaedic surgery often involves emergencies. Relatively minor emergencies, such as simple fractures and moderately severe lacerations can be treated in our office, almost always faster , easier, and less expensively than in other settings. More serious injuries can appropriately and efficiently be handled nearby, at the Trinity Hospital Emergency Department, located directly across a parking lot from our office.

Most of our patients have problems which are not emergencies, but still need timely treatment. At Augusta Bone and Joint we always allow space for "walk-ins," and can usually see scheduled patients within one to two days.
